Member Bio

Mr. Cooke joined QV Investors in 2006. He is responsible for the analysis of small and mid-sized Canadian and American companies and co-management of the small and mid capitalization portfolios at QV Investors. Prior to joining QV Investors, Ian was the Vice President of Research and Director at a Calgary based investment management firm. He remains involved with the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business as a part-time instructor of Security Analysis and Investing and as a mentor for the Calgary Portfolio Management Trust. Ian is also the Chairman for the Calgary Fundraising Committee for the Down Syndrome Research Foundation's Annual Up the Down Dinner. Ian graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, with distinction. He is a CFA charterholder.
